So after a few gruelling weeks of back breaking work, the old broken bone decides that its had quite enough of all this strain thankyou very much and starts to play silly buggers. Swelling, Pain and dreadful limp forced me back into the Accident and Emergency department again Friday morning at 6:00am. A trip to casualty in this country allows you to see the cream of British Idiots. Amongst the Neurotics, Drunks, Junkies and Asylum Seekers, one finds the shining example of the classic British Thug. (Cranius Thickus) Mr Thug is in with his Girlfriend , who by the looks of her, has felt the delights of his many sovereign rings on her poor battered face. Mr Thug simply revels in shouting expletives at the receptionist, nurses and doctors. Mr Thug is rapturous for the opprtunity to repeatedly punch the vending machine that stole his quid. Mr Thug is King of the Waiting Room, and Nobody will stand in his way.
Now we come to the poor elderly lady who had a nasty fall in the night. Hands and arms cut to ribbons and very shaken. All alone and crying. Does she get seen first? Nope. All because Mr. Thug is so violent and agressive to the staff that his girlfriend is given priority so that they can leave as quickly as possible. My husband and i do the best we can to comfort her, but its useless over the Effing, blinding and constant shouting of monsieur Thug.

I am x-rayed, blood tested, water tested and synovial fluid tested, and all seems well. Just wear and tear aggravating the old injury and causing swelling and pain. Also the WBC's are up so antibotics here we come. Sent home with industrial strength pain relief, anti-inflammatories, orders to rest and a sick note. 6 hours of my life that i will never have again, but there we are. Such is life.
(The elderly lady's daughter came soon enough and took care of her. She left A&E shaken and bandaged but fortunately ok. Mr Thug and his girlfriend live to (literally) fight another day.. Hopefully as far away from me as possible. :fear:

Each photo can be saved in five formats (up to 1024X768 pixels).
You can download any photo for private or commercial use.'

PhotoRack - Not used this one yet.  Be sure to check image licences before downloading anything. Its a bit like sxc.hu, only less stringent about quality.

FreeImages 'Not just another clipart graphic site!.... more than 2500 original stock photos
all for FREE! - this is an oldie site, but its great!

Carton ' Carton is a part of EXPOSED and hosts photography and material scans that can be used for collages for both web and print.
The images are saved as 72 dpi files, however, they can be used for art up to 300 dpi quality which makes them usable for printing.' - nice Textures!

I'm glad you are feeling better. 6 hours in the ER in the US is a blessing. The last time I was in the ER I was there in the waiting room for 13 hours with my boyfriend. When they finally took me they gave me a cat scan and there was nothing wrong. I left with pain killers. I will never go to an inner city ER again if I can avoid it.
