Look! A journal Entry!

I was most shocked when i logged in today to find that my deviations
and
were the winners of the GIMPtacular ID contest! I have never won anything worthwhile before concerning my work so i was dead chuffed when i read the news! However, i have a sneaky suspicion that nobody else entered so i do have the nagging feeling that i won by default. But, hey.. Winning is winning right?
Beers are on me!

I would like to say, that whilst i was away last week, i had quite a few comments and faves . I would like to say thankyou and hope i have managed to get around to you all and thank you personally. I do appreciate it.

I dont know how i would cope on this PC without my music.. I have always been an avid user of Windows Media Player, but lately have been having trouble with it.. After doing a bit o' digging around, i have switched over to Winamp Quite a few people i know have been using this for a long time and i needed to see what all the fuss was about. Bloody Hell it Kicks Arse! Its can play just about anything! Am slightly embarrassed i have never thought of using it before! Many a night i have spent arsing around converting .Ogg and .Ape files to .wma, but now there is no need. This litle baby does the lot. And it sounds great too. It makes my crappy PC speakers sound like big-ass bass.. Im truly in love!

Which brings me nicely to my next thing.. Its SKINNABLE! (My favourite thing) and where else to find fab skins? Why here of course! On dA.  And guess what? Here are the best ones!

~ If you miss the WMP 11 look once you switch over, there is this little baby. sleek and smooth vista-esque look and fully functional. a Must have skin.

~ This is also smooth and stylish. It has matching WB skins for those who like to feel as though thier players are fully integrated. Its a good solid and stable skin.

~ This realy deserved the DD it got. This particular skin is functional, easy on the eye, modern and stylish. I find that its solid with no errors and the transitions are smooth. I love the way the colour scheme can be changed and it does not overpower the senses with useless "Frills". Apparently this was his first winamp skin? Well i have to say that its ultra-professional, with no signs of a novice skinner. Go Get it NOW!
